| The community of the tourism village Bunisari is relatively different from communities in other villages which lack awareness about the importance of community participation. The community of Bunisari has a culture of cooperation, entrepreneurship, togetherness, and mutual trust as the fundamental assets fostering community participation. This research aims to explain the transformation of a tourism village through community participation in tourism development in Bunisari Tourism Village, Girimekar Village, Cilengkrang District, Bandung Regency. A qualitative descriptive method was used to describe community participation in the development of Bunisari tourism village. Data analysis was conducted on interview data to understand the community's responses regarding their attitudes and behaviors in their participation to develop the tourism village. The research results explain that community participation in the development of Bunisari tourism village is a determining factor for success because community aspirations are integrated into planning and program implementation, providing essential prerequisites for sustainable and equitable development, as well as providing valuable economic resources, addressing disparities, and strengthening community resilience overall. The transformation of Bunisari Tourism Village depicts significant changes in rural tourism, preserving village sustainability by conserving the environment, culture, and enhancing the local economy, making it an attractive tourist destination by utilizing natural, cultural, and local human resources, and enhancing prosperity through increased job opportunities and businesses impacting community income, as a result of community participation in tourism development. |
